XL paving slabs from PRESBETON

A completely new category of paving slabs has been designed for this season. These are very attractive and sought-after large-format slabs. The XL series includes six dimensionally different slabs that can be combined with one another to create interesting compositions.

These XL formats are based on existing surfaces of paving slabs – they have a smooth, washed, and blasted surface. Individual compositions can be built both on a combination of formats and on a combination of colors within a single surface. The created compositions are best highlighted in larger areas, such as around shopping centers, squares, or paved areas near residential buildings, etc. These slabs will also find their use and place in the private sector. By combining larger and smaller slabs, interesting compositions can be created even for areas around family homes. The wide selection of formats, surfaces, and colors allows for their use in almost any architectural intention. A huge advantage of this paving is its height of 100 mm, which allows its use for all types of surfaces.



It is particularly intended for areas with variable load intensity, where high loads caused by motor traffic predominate, characterized by a maximum load of 5 tons per individual wheel, or 10 tons per axle. With its strength and aesthetic parameters, the large-format XL paving will find application in service local and purpose-built roads mainly loaded by light traffic, non-motorized paths loaded by maintenance vehicles, parking and stopping areas, highly aesthetically valued areas in urban zones, and areas around shopping zones with mixed traffic, access roads to civic buildings, apartments, and family houses. When laying and using the large-format XL paving, it is necessary to respect the maximum recommended load of the paved surface, the recommended compositions, and the preparation of the underlying layers specified by the manufacturer in a separate document. The use of different compositions of underlying layers, or specific load values and complex foundation conditions must be verified by a specific static calculation.
