Všenory was a sought-after place during the First Republic, where people from higher social classes built weekend villas. Even today, visitors can admire many beautiful houses featuring elements of Art Nouveau or Functionalist architecture. Recently, an interesting new building has also emerged here, with roots in family history. The investor had access to a building plot that connected to the land with the villa that his ancestors once had built.
A family house in the shape of an irregular rectangle has risen on a sloping plot of land of approximately 700 m², which was limited at the upper part by a relatively narrow access road. The architectural design and project were handled by architect Josef Vostracký. Finding a meaningful solution was not at all simple given the parameters of the land and the owner's requirements. The result is a two-story house, where the upper floor is larger than the ground floor, which "hits" the slope that was adjusted as needed. While the upper floor contains bedrooms, a bathroom, the entrance to the house, and a covered parking area for two cars, the lower floor serves as a comfortable living zone. The simply designed space, which includes the living room, kitchen, and dining nook, is oriented to the south and west with an attractive view of the Karlštejn valley. An above-standard supply of natural light is provided by large-format aluminum window systems by Schüco. In the living room, there is a 5-meter element facing south and a similarly sized one facing west. This is followed by a terrace connected to the living room via an HS portal. The terrace is covered and can even be practically enclosed with the help of blinds, allowing for its use almost year-round.

The philosophy of the house in a modern design is based on strict functionality and simplicity. The brick building is insulated with a suspended façade with thermal insulation and Cembrit panels, which are complemented in places by cladding made of Nordic larch. The composition of this specific façade meets the necessary parameters from the perspective of thermal resistance and heat transfer, but also works well with the large glazing, which is extremely important for this house. According to the architect, the parameters of the window system, including design, are crucial for living comfort, and therefore, no expense was spared in this regard. But it is not just about technical parameters. Great emphasis was placed on natural light and solar energy, which creates positive energy in the house and contributes to healthy living.

In the house, we find windows, balcony doors, and entrance doors in the Schüco AWS 90.SI+ and ADS 90.SI systems. Windows with triple glazing are installed with the DAFE PUREX COMFORT projection mounting, which improves thermal insulation parameters and prevents the formation of thermal bridges. The design of the windows highlights a discreet RAL 9006 decor. An observant visitor will notice that some windows in the lintel are angled to match the slope of the shed roof. The large-format glazing on the upper floor is connected by an elegant structural joint covered by a narrow aluminum strip. The windows were manufactured and installed by DAFE – PLAST, a long-time holder of the SCHÜCO Premium Partner award. It is worth mentioning that the house is heated with a heat pump with underfloor heating, which is complemented by a recuperation unit. All technology, including shading, is controlled with the help of a "smart home" system.

The family house was designed to provide the owner with comfortable and healthy living and to function in the future as a two-generational home. The internal layout was adapted to this.
