Cosmopolitan environment in the heart of Olomouc

For the Olomouc hotel, operated by the international hotel chain NH Hotel Group part of Minor Hotels, this is not its first award. Together with the adjacent Omega sports center, it won the Building of the Year award in 2010, as the jury appreciated that the buildings and surrounding landscaping revitalized the area around the old Spartakiad stadium from the communist era, part of which was even incorporated into the project.

The hotel’s operation and the level of services provided are also positively rated. Within the aforementioned NH chain, which includes more than 400 accommodation facilities, the Olomouc hotel has received top ratings on various accommodation platforms several times, even though it cannot compete with more attractive destinations due to its location. However, it has succeeded thanks to its human approach, precision, and attention to detail. Detail is perceived as the key essence of the overall impression; emphasis is also placed on floral decoration, which has been cared for by an experienced florist for many years, and one cannot overlook the unique interior fragrance that creates a pleasant connotation for guests.

As the first hotel in Central Europe, it received the premium brand Collection within this chain. Hotels with this brand offer better, more luxurious, and more comprehensive services compared to hotels with the standard NH Hotels designation, including in terms of design. The personal Hospitality Manager of the Year 2017 award, announced by the Association of Hotels and Restaurants of the Czech Republic, was also awarded to the hotel’s General Manager, Tomáš Rousek, under whose leadership the hotel has been continuously successful for 11 years. "When it comes to design, we certainly are not finished. Our guests can soon look forward to brand new rooms, hotel corridors, and also further redesign of the conference center – all of it again from designer Škorpilová, to maintain the uniform character and atmosphere of the building," says Tomáš Rousek.

A place where design meets the latest technology

The location of the hotel, modern design, stylish atmosphere, great team, and a wide range of services make NH Collection Olomouc Congress a world-class hotel. At the end of this summer, the hotel restaurant, bar, reception, and lobby underwent an expensive renovation, which was realized based on a design by the aforementioned designer and architect Bára Škorpilová from the studio Mimolimit. The first part of the renovation, which included the conference center and the Ventana conference restaurant, was awarded first place in the Big See Interior Design Awards competition.

Since 2021, the Mimolimit studio has been engaged in designing buildings as well as interior and product design and has long collaborated with proven suppliers and top craftsmen. The studio's realizations exceed not only regional but primarily conceptual and stylistic boundaries and are characterized by atypical use and combination of materials. The hotel also features works by prominent Czech artists, such as paintings by Milan Houser or the Olomouc painter Miroslav Šnajdr.

The hotel is also designed to host conference, social, and team-building events, which are part of the daily program. Social events can be held for up to 1,100 people; the conference center is equipped with the latest audiovisual technology and generous projection screens. The flexibility of the conference facilities is ensured by twelve halls and lounges that can be interconnected.

Sporting activities and relaxation

The hotel also has the adjacent Omega sports center, which offers a wide range of sports activities. One cannot overlook the brand new luxurious wellness zone, which provides comprehensive services for relaxation and regeneration. It includes a solarium, sauna world, steam room, cooling pools, hot tubs, Kneipp path, and also a panoramic relaxation room with a view of the garden, terrace, or bar. Exhausted bodies can also be entrusted to the hands of masseurs or enjoy one of the wrap treatments.
