The jurors met over the competition entries on February 2, 2012, and the awards were ultimately distributed as follows:
The winning team consisting of Ing. arch. Martin Prokš and Ing. arch. Marek Přikryl received the Housing for Older Citizens and took home the 1st prize reduced to 24,000 CZK. This design also received the Developer's Award of 30,000 CZK. The award was presented by the owner of ART GROUPE, Mr. Jean-Michel Kolly, who agreed with the jury's evaluation. “The proposal best captured the assignment, which we identified as an intersection of a modular house with the typology of a home for the elderly. The simple row concept designed for real construction combines private units and intimate communal spaces,” the jury evaluates this year's winning proposal.
The second prize, 20,000 CZK, was won by the design of Ing. arch. Marián Lucký, of which the jurors stated: “Let us appreciate the simple approach to solving the spatial composition. The proposed ridge offers semi-public nooks that suitably complement the confident spatial solution. A balanced proposal from concept, program, layout, placement, down to the details.”
The third place was taken by the student of the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University Bc. Kateřina Blahutová with her proposal for modular cohousing in the treetops. The award of 10,000 CZK is deserved especially for her “...striking spatial concept, which creates an adequate semi-public space for the assignment and consistently respects the modular system of the client.””
It did not stop at the main prizes; the jury also awarded three Special Jury Awards for creative contributions to the addressed theme. These were received by Alan Hackl, Ing. Přemysl Gilar and Ing.arch. Kamil Měrka.
Finally, the Public Voting Award, a voucher for the purchase of Apple products valued at 15,000 CZK, was won by student Ivana Plecháčová from the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University.
