Stainless steel railings from the Czech manufacturer J.A.P. will delight not only with their modern appearance and durability but also with their diversity. They can take many forms thanks to a variety of combinations of post shapes, infills, handrails, and anchoring plates. They are suitable for concrete and assembled stairs, balconies, and balustrades.

Material of the railing

The railing is made of high-quality stainless steel marked AISI 304 and 316, which withstands even extreme conditions. Therefore, it can also be used outdoors. "Stainless steel AISI 304 is an austenitic chromium-nickel steel resistant to water, steam, humidity, edible and weak organic and inorganic acids. However, it is not suitable for use in aggressive environments, such as in swimming pools," explains Petr Paksi, Sales Director of J.A.P., which specializes in manufacturing railings, and continues: "The second type of steel marked AISI 316 is an austenitic chromium-nickel-molybdenum steel, which is more resistant to corrosion due to the increased molybdenum content, and resistant to all types of salts, organic and inorganic acids, and solvents."

Types of posts

The posts of the railing come in flat, round, or square designs. The diameter of the round post is 42 mm, the square post consists of a stainless steel prism 40 mm wide, and the flat post consists of two stainless steel strips 40 mm wide and 8 mm thick. In the case of top anchoring, the post height can range from 950 to 1000 mm, and in the case of side anchoring, from 1150 to 1200 mm.

Railing infill

The infill of the railing can be cable, rod, or glass. "The stainless steel cables have a diameter of 5 mm and create an airy, simple impression. Stainless steel rods with diameters of 10 or 12 mm allow great variability in the railing - they can be placed in both horizontal and vertical positions. The glass infill of the railing is made of tempered glass with a thickness of 12 or 16 mm and offers a highly aesthetic solution - all components are maximally simple to not disrupt the design purity of the glass," specifies Petr Paksi.

Types of handrails

Handrails are available in stainless steel and wood. In the case of wood, it is most often beech, but you can also choose ash, maple, oak, or walnut. Handrails can have a maximum length of 5 meters and can be anchored on or off the axis of the posts.
