A glass surface that carries a fabric or graphic design printed on a special foil. Due to its great variability, it can be utilized in almost any interior style. This is how one can characterize the design glass Grafosklo.
wall cladding made of Grafosklo
Fully glass cladding, walls, or doors made of Grafosklo are a system of one or two glasses, between which a special internal foil is laminated, on which a digitally printed photograph or any graphic motif is applied. Textiles are also not an exception. "A custom graphic motif can be provided, or it can be selected from a database of images available on the website www.sklo-jap.cz," says Petr Paksi, the sales director of J.A.P., which produces Grafosklo, and continues: "The motif of Grafosklo can also be made from textiles used in the rest of the interior, such as curtains, upholstery, or bedding. The coordination of the space is then perfect in every respect."
Safe glass
For the production of Grafosklo, special tempered glass is used, which is up to five times more resistant to impact than ordinary glass. Its breakage in the field is thus nearly impossible in the usual operation of a household. And if, due to a significantly strong and targeted impact, breakage does occur, the tempered glass will shatter into small, dull fragments.
Another factor that increases the safety and strength of Grafosklo is the already mentioned special internal foil, which is firmly bonded to the glass. In the event of damage, thanks to it, glass shards do not scatter but remain contained together.
Great variability of use
Grafosklo can be used in many places and in many forms within an interior. Besides a nearly unlimited offer of internal decors, Grafosklo can be custom-fitted to any space in terms of dimensions. "The standard maximum size produced is a glass panel measuring 1.40 x 2.80 m. However, for larger formats, these individual panels can be connected with perfect precision to match the chosen motif," adds Petr Paksi. The thickness of the glass used is also important - for fully glass wall cladding, 6 mm thick glass is used. If Grafosklo is utilized as doors or a partition, a sandwich of two glasses with a thickness of 9 or 10 mm is suitable.

Grafosklo finds its application not only in residential spaces as a decorative partition or practical fully glass cladding for kitchen countertops or bathrooms but also in commercial spaces. Thanks to the aforementioned great variability in terms of decors, the appearance of Grafosklo can be chosen to perfectly highlight the specific focus of the space.
