The area of the football club is located on the eastern edge of Klánovice next to the Klánovice–Čihadla Nature Park. The changing rooms with the facilities for the football venue were created according to the design of the studio 20-20-ARCHITEKTI under the direction of Ing. arch. Zdeněk Rychtařík. The new building replaces the former facilities of the venue and is designed pragmatically with regard to the operational and functional use of individual spaces as a simple two-story cubic mass with a flat roof, from which a single-story facility of the pitch extends. "Towards the playing field, the façade is maximally glazed and framed by the structure of the so-called stand. The other façades are solid with minimal glazing, with the exception of the eastern horizontal window into the office. The building is mostly plastered in a light gray shade, with inserted wooden panels of larch boards on the southern façade, which frames the pattern of the steel structure of the stand in anthracite shade," explains the concept of the building’s appearance Zdeněk Rychtařík.
In the purposefully designed interior, you will find everything that a football club needs: several changing rooms with washrooms, a gym, a clubhouse, and an office, as well as a space for referees and a room for technology. On the ground floor of the building, there is also a buffet with facilities with a serving window into the covered area under the stand. There are also plenty of storage rooms for the maintenance of the outdoor areas of the complex. The entire building is heated and tempered by a gas boiler, equipped with an air conditioning system with recuperation and the reuse of grey water. The building obtains water from a deep well and has preparations for future roof-mounted photovoltaic panels. Ing. Šimon Matějovský from the studio 20-20-ARCHITEKTI, which collaborated on the realization of the facilities for the Klánovice football club in cooperation with the design shop MONOBRAND, adds regarding the architectural solution of the building's interior: "In the interiors, the roughness of the prefabricated reinforced concrete ceiling panels contrasts with the uniform white plasters, accented by blue door fills. The internal air conditioning installations are also visually addressed. The interior is completed by berker Q.3 switches and sockets in an anthracite color that corresponds to the color of the outdoor steel structure of the stand."
The berker switches are part of the portfolio of Hager, which, in addition to interior control elements, provided a complete electrical installation solution for the new building. From distribution boards to modular devices for safe energy handling, as well as motion sensors and exterior berker W.1 sockets with higher IP55 protection. Thomas Grund, the CEO of Hager Electro's Czech branch, adds about the choice of switches: "Berker Q.3 switches are among our architects' most popular switches. Their almost purist appearance and subtle color are complemented by another desirable property, which is the material they are made from. It is a high-quality plastic with a special velvet surface finish. They are therefore surprisingly pleasant to the touch," explains Thomas Grund. And there's one more delight you can discover in the interiors of the Klánovice club's changing rooms: a specially made switch with the logo of AC Sparta Prague printed on it. Thomas Grund, a big football fan himself, who is actively involved in youth work at the club, adds: "We wanted the kids to see every day how far they can go with their effort and honest training. It's a kind of joke, a challenge for our young players," smiles Thomas Grund. The switch with the custom print was created as part of Hager's custom manufacturing program. "You can express almost any wish regarding the appearance of the switch, and Hager Manufaktura will fulfill it for you. Not only can you print on the switch, but any RAL color shade, engraving, use special materials including precious metals, or non-traditional surface finishes is also possible. Thanks to this custom manufacturing program, you can have a switch like no one else. And one such special switch is now owned by the football club here in Klánovice," concludes Thomas Grund.
The new facilities for FK Klánovice are proof of what great things the support from the Capital City of Prague and local self-government, the assignment of a project to a quality architectural office, and the helping hand of involved companies can achieve. The result is a quality, imaginative, perfectly functional building that, thanks to its timelessness and thoughtful execution, aims not only to serve the Klánovice club for many decades but also to become an example worthy of emulation for others. "I am pleased that the new facilities will serve several generations, especially children and young players, who, thanks to the excellent facilities, will feel good in 'football', will be happy to attend training, move, and sport. And that is what it is all about," concludes Ing. Alena Kolovrátková, the mayor of the Prague–Klánovice city district.
