The glass partitions and dividing walls of Dorsis Digero represent an elegant and functional way to change the layout of a space. They stand out not only in modern new buildings but are increasingly gaining traction in the reconstruction of old houses or former industrial buildings. Without compromising brightness, they create new private zones and lend a modern minimalist look to the interior, combined with a revealed industrial atmosphere.
The austere, unembellished industrial style draws inspiration from industrial halls or factories and transforms them into pleasant living or working environments. It reveals the patina, roughness, and rawness of materials in their most natural form and elevates them to a key stylistic element of the interior.
The touch of industrial design of the Digero partition brings the beauty of minimalism and perfect functionality to modern interiors.
"We appreciate the true nature and functionality of things, the distinctive features of the industrial concept, which is why we focus on clean lines, perfect craftsmanship, and practical and innovative technologies that always offer something extra," says Jan Krejčí, managing director of Dorsis. "The framed dividing partitions Digero are thus an ideal example of the use of industrial style in interiors. Like the style itself, they embody authenticity, truthfulness, and honesty of materials, striving for maximum aesthetic arrangement and clarity."
Glass partitions bring new possibilities to open up and modernize interiors
The division of the Digero partition into individual panels is entirely individual – tailored to each project. The width of the partition is practically unlimited, with a maximum height of 3000 mm, reaching the ceiling of most interiors.
Large glazed areas with minimal division are especially suitable in minimally designed houses and larger spaces where walls or partitions are not desired to change the appearance of the room. In the reconstruction of older interiors, barns, or loft apartments, on the other hand, division into smaller panels is expected, as the characteristically distinctive panels become a dominant yet unifying element of the entire interior.
To achieve maximum harmony with the aesthetics of the entire space, the aluminum structure of the partition can be painted in the full range of RAL colors or any division of glass panels can be chosen – vertical, horizontal, or slanted. Its variability thus meets the needs of every project.
The Dorsis Digero industrial partition finds genuinely impressive and practical applications in kitchens, where they help to subtly and tastefully separate the kitchen from other living areas. A well-placed dividing wall prevents the transfer of odors and noise from the kitchen without sacrificing the appearance, feel, and usability of the open space.
An important feature is the option to choose the door leaf not only in the color of the partition and the entire object but also in the way it opens – sliding or pivot doors are ideal in smaller rooms, while larger interiors can afford traditionally opening doors.
Surprisingly wide range of applications for Dorsis dividing partitions
A common installation location for the industrial partition is home offices – spaces where there is a need to combine the necessity of noise and functional separation from common areas with the need to "stay in contact" with others in the interior. With full glazing, it is easy to achieve visual connectivity between both spaces, full brightness while preventing the passage of noise.
The bedroom is unexpectedly another example where the implementation of a glazed partition has proven successful. In many new builds, as well as in reconstructions or lofts, integrated bathrooms within the main bedroom are already considered, and a dividing partition made of tinted, smoky, or decorated glass provides the bathroom with the necessary sense of privacy.
Moreover, glass, better than a solid wall, ensures harmony with other bathroom elements, such as a glass shower cubicle or glass wall shelves. Patterns and textures of glass, from transparent to frosted, from simple to engraved, can be fully coordinated with the atmosphere and mood of the given segment.
"Of course, even a children's playroom, a basement bar, or a gym would take on a completely new aesthetic appearance when 'hidden' behind a glass partition. Instead of the interior continuing to create a disruptive impression, the glass partition creates elegantly balanced separate zones with a distinctive character," adds Jan Krejčí from Dorsis. "With industrial partitions and dividing walls Digero, it is really easy to adapt the open concept of living space to the needs and wishes of each specific project."
