Elementary art schools are places of inspiring encounters for children with music. The aesthetic resonance of the interior is almost as important as its acoustic function. This is why the vision "Elementary Art School for the 21st Century" was created, aimed at creating unique spaces with regard to the individual needs of each elementary art school. The top synergy of acoustic quality, functionality, and aesthetics ultimately maximizes the potential of the given spaces and emphasizes their authenticity. These qualities, supported by comprehensive timeless audiovisual and lighting technology, offer each school entirely new possibilities, including audiovisual connections and recording or broadcasting students' outputs.

TAILORED SOLUTIONS, EXACTLY ACCORDING TO REQUIREMENTS

The solutions we propose and implement are always customized "to measure" for each project we work on. It is therefore very important to thoroughly listen to the investor's and users' requirements and jointly formulate the final assignment. To help the investor clearly envision what the new spaces will look like, we produce photo-realistic visualizations. We use these as one of the primary tools in the design of complex interiors, where we often work with atypically shaped acoustic panels, materials, and usually also with custom lighting solutions.

Through visualizations, we can quickly verify all our sketch ideas in real conditions. At the same time, we use these graphic outputs to present our proposals to clients, allowing for a much more understandable presentation of the project even to clients without experience in technical drawings and similar. For our designs, we also prepare drawing documentation for all stages of project preparation – up to the actual implementation.

BEAUTIFUL SPACE THAT PLAYS

Acoustic quality must be accompanied by top-notch design solutions. To achieve authenticity and quality listening conditions, we utilize both system and atypical elements and materials. It is necessary to ensure that sound travels not only from musicians to listeners but also back to the musicians. Therefore, during the design phase, we place considerable emphasis on the diffusion of the sound field and optimize the propagation of sounds in the space. We meticulously monitor the frequency balance of the reverberation time and acoustic field because we perceive the space as another dimension of musical performance. Quality is important for all musicians and listeners – both for Philharmonic members and for elementary art school students.

TOP-NOTCH EQUIPMENT, EASY OPERATION

To maximize the potential of the new halls, we equip them with audiovisual technology. We place special emphasis on user-friendliness and multifunctionality of the equipment. Thanks to this, the hall can also be used for educational purposes as well as for concerts or theater performances. Using an iPad, users can easily control the hall's dimming, video projection, playback of audio and video tracks, and at the same time carry out their recording, audio mixing, and so forth. There is also the option of live streaming to the internet.

DO NOT DISTURB AND NOT BE DISTURBED

In the case of extensive construction modifications, we always recommend structural protection for acoustically important spaces, such as classrooms, rehearsal rooms, and halls. Unwanted disturbances, both from outside and between individual internal spaces, are addressed through building and noise acoustics. By creating a noise study, we can predict the sources of noise and propose optimal partition structures to solve the soundproofing of "quiet" spaces through subsequent calculations.

The harmonic synergy of all these components is, just like in music, essential for achieving the intended result. Many years of rich experience and a leading position in the field of acoustics allow us to fully support the creative potential of educators and students of every elementary art school. Examples of good practices at whose inception AVETON played a role certainly include ZUŠ Bajkalská, ZUŠ Vadima Petrova, ZUŠ Velvary, ZUŠ Přibyslav, or ZUŠ Havířov. We write more detailed information about them on our blog at www.aveton.cz.
