Mutěnice – In Mutěnice, located in the Hodonín district, a multifunctional building will be constructed, which will include medical offices, a library, and apartments for seniors and young families. It is expected to be completed in 2030. The construction of the building will cost approximately 150 million crowns, said the mayor of the municipality, Jiří Zálešák (For Mutěnice), to ČTK today.
The multifunctional building will be situated on the site of a former school that has been demolished for several years. It will serve the residents of Mutěnice. "In collaboration with the winner of last year's architectural competition, we are fine-tuning the details. The preparation of the project documentation should follow, which will take about two years. After that, we will apply for a building permit," Zálešák described.
The library and local doctors will have their facilities in the building. The town hall also wants to establish apartments in the building. "We are receiving more applications for the care service housing. However, there are only ten apartments. As the population ages, we have more requests; there is demand for it. Besides apartments for seniors, we would like to have starter apartments there, for example, for young families," Zálešák explained.
The municipality plans to finance the construction from its budget, partly through a loan. The total cost is expected to be around 150 million crowns. "It's such an estimate. We also included it in the terms of the architectural competition that architects should work with this amount," the mayor stated.
Mutěnice is a wine-growing municipality with over 3000 inhabitants. According to the mayor, the municipality's budget this year anticipates expenses and revenues of around 100 million crowns.
