Brno - Brno wants to build a new building with medical offices at Tuřanské náměstí in Tuřany. The investment intention, which the city updated after the approval of the new zoning plan, was approved by Brno's city council at a meeting on Wednesday, the municipality announced in a press release.
The Health House is expected to be completed by 2030, and the estimated costs exceed 191 million crowns. Currently, health services are provided by a health center on Holásecká Street in Tuřany. According to the municipality, this center will cease to exist due to the planned expansion of the neighboring senior home.
The building will replace the former bakery and post office. "After their demolition, a new post office will be built here, but mainly medical offices and other services related to maintaining access to basic healthcare. There will also be exercises, massages, and rehabilitation available," said Mayor Markéta Vaňková (ODS).
Revitalization of the surroundings, including Tuřanské náměstí, is also planned. "A public space suitable for cultural, social, and community events, markets, or fairs will be created here. The capacity of parking spaces will remain preserved," the mayor added.
