Jihlava – A developer is preparing extensive residential construction in the Handlovy Dvory area in Jihlava. Within seven years, residential buildings with approximately 700 apartments are expected to be gradually completed there. This was stated to journalists today by Mayor Petr Ryška (ODS). He anticipates that construction of the first buildings could start next year, with a total of 18 planned. The city council has already approved a planning agreement with the developer, which also includes an investment contribution primarily for public infrastructure. They must build part of a shared road along their property.
The planning agreement was concluded between Jihlava and the company S.O.K., which owns one of the three parts of the land designated for development in Handlovy Dvory. The second part was sold last year to a company belonging to the Žďár group PKS holding. The remaining land still belongs to the city. "But we are considering its sale under certain conditions next year or the year after, so the entire area should then be built up," said the mayor.
The city has developed a spatial study for the entire Handlovy Dvory area."To ensure that it also looks architecturally appealing," said Deputy Mayor Petr Piáček (KDU-ČSL). The company that purchased part of the land last year is starting discussions about future construction with city departments. According to the town hall, this investor also has two other apartment building projects in Jihlava.
For nearly three hectares of land in this area, which the city sold last year, it received around 130 million crowns. These are plots located south of the Tesco department store.
