Selection procedure for the position: External Coordinator for the Course Contemporary Trends in Architectural Creation The Department of Architecture at UMPRUM is announcing a selection procedure for the position: External Coordinator for the Course Contemporary Trends in Architectural Creation This is a new mandatory course in the Department of Architecture, taught over two semesters. The aim of the course is to develop discussion on current practices and theories in the fields of architecture, urbanism, and landscape creation, with an emphasis on environmental and social contexts. The anticipated format of teaching combines lectures by domestic and international guests, workshops, and thematic excursions. The specific content and format of the course are conceived and implemented by the coordinator (potential collaboration with the department's studios is possible).
Qualification requirements: • University degree (at least a master's level) in the field of architecture, theory of architecture, or related disciplines, • organizational skills, • active knowledge of the English language, • teaching experience is welcome. Course of the selection procedure: The selection procedure will take place in two rounds. In the first round, a professional committee appointed by the Department of Architecture will assess the submitted documents of the candidates and propose those advancing to the second round, which will include a personal presentation and discussion with the committee. The composition of the professional committee will be announced well in advance. Final results of the selection procedure will be announced within 14 days after the end of the selection procedure. Expected start date: February 16, 2026 (start of the summer semester) Financial remuneration: for the entire academic year (2 semesters) CZK 60,000 fee for the coordinator plus CZK 190,000 estimated limit from the department’s budget for foreign guests, workshops, or excursions
