We found interesting projects mainly where solutions to specific urban contexts were involved. We certainly saw fewer successful "beautiful houses," but many more interesting complex projects that included infrastructure and public space. On the other hand, we were surprised by the number of predictable solutions that we would expect from a tired designer with a mortgage, a lease, and a large family behind them. We expected more inventiveness and creativity from the students. We missed not only experimentation or innovation to a greater extent, but also generosity and elegance in dealing with space. Many projects revealed the author's little interest in the quality of presentation. We lacked the cultural dimension of architecture, especially in projects for residential and family houses. Certainly, school should teach the craft, but that shouldn't mean that studies should degrade to the level of cloning ordinary construction production and repeating its shortcomings.

Lead Dušan aims to "gain an independent view on the quality of architectural education at FA CTU in Prague." From this perspective, evaluating workshops is more relevant than individual students. We took the effort to divide the workshops into four groups. At the top are six workshops, where extraordinary team and creative energy and the engagement of the educator are palpable. Usually, such a workshop is recognizable from the door: the presentation is typically a collective work, posters have uniform parameters, and projects are processed in detail, including nice models. Then there is a group of about ten or twelve very good workshops that do not dazzle with any additional effects, but high work commitment from both students and educators is noticeable here (most individual finalist projects come from here). Following that are several rather below-average workshops – and then there are those that we called "black holes." They are characterized by tolerating elementary mistakes and the helplessness of students, left to their own confusion. We agreed on five workshops that received nominations for the Plush Dušan.
