The Student Association of Architecture Students at the Faculty of Architecture at CTU invites you to the announcement of the results of the 26th year of the Lead-Dushan, a cult competition for the best student projects and studios. The Lead-Dushan trophy is awarded annually by an independent jury composed of prominent Czech architects, designers, and personalities associated with these fields. The gala evening will take place on March 21, 2019, at 8 p.m. in the main hall of the Center for Architecture and Urban Planning C.A.M.P. The nominated and winning projects and studios will be presented in two fields – Architecture and Urbanism and Design. The jury in the field of Architecture and Urbanism consists of Monika Cihlářová from the Institute of Planning and Development of the Capital City of Prague, architect Jan Veisser from the ORA studio, Lukáš Kordík from GutGut, landscape architect Štěpánka Šmídová, and the chairman of the jury was elected Richard Sidej from the studio Znamení čtyř. The Design field was evaluated by a jury composed of Jana Potiron, who teaches at the Faculty of Design and Art Ladislav Sutnara, Jan Čapek, the designer of the Kozlovský beer tumbler, and Petr Hák, who focuses on interior and product design. This year's Lead-Dushan will also include a joint exhibition of three student competitions from three different faculties of architecture titled Lead-Fuchs in the Cage, which will run from March 22 to April 18 in C.A.M.P. This is a connection of the competitions Lead-Dushan (FA CTU), Bohuslav Fuchs Award (FA VUT), and Ještěd in the Cage (FUA TUL), aimed at presenting, sharing, and comparing insights from various schools where architecture is taught. The vernissage will take place on March 22, and the exhibition will be complemented by several evening events that will explore different aspects of architecture education in our environment.
