A total of 84 foreign and domestic applicants registered for the international competition to address the front plot on Revoluční street in Prague, opposite the Fragner Palace Merkur. The jury selected six architectural studios, whose representatives, after inspecting the site, are starting work on their designs. The results of the competition will be presented to the public in January 2024.

The investment group RSJ, as the owner of the land at the corner of Lannova and Revoluční streets, announced the architectural competition in mid-May and invited expert representatives from the capital city and the Prague 1 district to the jury. In the competition conducted according to the model of a competitive dialogue, the jury selected the following studios for proposal development: Sou Fujimoto Atelier Paris; the office of Petr Hájek Architekti; the studio Ivan Kroupa architekti; in collaboration Studio Muoto and PEER; the Dutch consortium of three offices NL Architects, Shift architecture urbanism, and DS landschapsarchitecten; and the Swedish office Tham & Videgård Arkitekter.
