Prizes and awards Total: 260,000 CZK 1st prize (100,000 CZK): Ing. arch. Marek Přikryl, Jitka Molnárová, Ing. arch. Markéta Aulíková Jury evaluation: The jury appreciates the work with the space and the new delineation of the southeastern part of the square with the inserted "block". The specific processing of this object must be verified by a separate study, and the jury understands it as an urbanistic delineation of the space. The jury states that the proposal for the object is an integral part of the overall solution for the square. A benefit of the proposal is also the reduction of greenery in the space of the church, which emphasizes its significance in the central position and creates a gentle connection between the two squares.
2nd prize (80,000 CZK): Martin Heckel, Ing. arch. BcA. Eva Vopátková, Ing. arch. Jiří Soukup Jury evaluation: A prominent element of the proposal is a clear architectural concept based on the transcription of the terrain's topography in the form of contour lines across the entire square. However, the potential of this proposal was not consistently applied to all parts of the design from furniture to lighting. This seems to the jury as the biggest weakness of the proposal, which could be eliminated through further refinement.
3rd prize (40,000 CZK): Ing. arch. Štěpán Dokoupil, Ing. arch. Lukáš Fišer, Ing. arch. David Šrom Jury evaluation: The jury concluded that the terraced solution of Tyršovo Square increases its usability, but from the view of the lower part of the square, the retaining walls create a massive impression and paradoxically disrupt the space of the square. The arrangement of the square and the material of the walls evoke more of terrace gardens. The use of a large amount of paving stones also appears awkward. The jury appreciates great attention to detail in the individual elements and the graphic processing of the proposal.
