On Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at 6:00 PM, the opening of the exhibition Czech Architecture Award 2016 will take place at the Gallery of Architecture Brno, Starobrněnská 18.
The Gallery of Architecture Brno, together with the Czech Chamber of Architects, will present to the Brno audience 63 nominated works from the first year of the Czech Architecture Award 2016 competition, which made it to the shortlist of the international expert jury. Eight finalists will be introduced in more detail, including the main prize winner, Zen-Houses in Liberec by architect Petr Stolín. The competition exhibition attracted significant interest from the public and participating architects, who submitted nearly 500 of their works. The exhibition will also showcase awards for Exceptional Achievement and special awards from VELUX and ERA21. Seven members of the international jury, who decided on the results of the main prize, will also be presented - Boris Bežan, Kees Kaan, Ivan Koleček, Miriam Lišková, Joe Morris, Martin Rein-Cano, and Jan De Vylder. The exhibition will be open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM until April 13, 2017. Admission is voluntary.
