The exhibition's curator, architect Ľubica Fábri: "The main focus of the exhibition comprises mainly family homes and weekend structures, which were built the most in Slovakia between 2005 and 2020. The bowls made from various types of wood as 3D objects, in the symbolic number of 15, enrich the main poster presentation of wooden buildings with a tangible measure and emphasize the beauty and uniqueness of this natural material."

"The entire program of the Salon of Wooden Buildings 2020 offers valuable accompanying events for a wide spectrum of enthusiasts interested in modern architecture, building with wood, and a responsible lifestyle," explains Pavel Horák, director of the Salon of Wooden Buildings. "The Salon aims to be a 'showcase' of the field and a platform for highlighting quality wooden construction and developing cooperative relationships among all progressive entities in the field of wooden buildings in the Czech Republic." The Salon of Wooden Buildings 2020 is supported by a number of renowned professional partners, commercial partners, and institutions. Brief History of the Salon of Wooden Buildings

The Salon of Wooden Buildings was founded in 2005 by architects Pavel Horák and Václav Zahradníček, and is still organized in the Czech Republic by their architectural office Prodesi. The core of the project is a selective exhibition of currently realized wooden buildings designed by architects from the Czech Republic and Slovakia and the publication Yearbook of Wooden Buildings, presenting all the buildings from the exhibition. In 2011, the civil association OZ Centrum ARCHA Bratislava, led by architect Ľubica Fábri, became a co-organizer in Slovakia. Until 2018, the Salon in the Czech Republic was an accompanying event of the wooden buildings fair in Prague, but since 2019 it has become independent and expanded the topic of modern wooden architecture with the presentation of modern and ecological materials, technologies, and responsible lifestyles. Over the 15 years, besides architects from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, many leading European wooden building architects from Austria, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Hungary, Poland, and Scandinavian countries have participated in the Salon. The Salon of Wooden Buildings is long-term supported by leading suppliers of wooden buildings, and its expert partners are leading educational and awareness institutions in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. After the national premieres in Prague and Bratislava, the exhibition travels to more destinations in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. www.salondrevostaveb.cz
