Herning Center of the Arts by Steven Holl

American architect Steven Holl won the competition for a new cultural center in the Danish town of Herning on November 23, 2005. The music and arts center will also include spaces for both short-term and long-term exhibitions, an auditorium, rehearsal rooms, a restaurant, a library, and offices. Holl's design resembles a flat landscape with grassy roofs and water surfaces. Light will enter the exhibition rooms through gaps in the system of undulating ceilings.
