The architect H. Králová will be Šárka Dlouhá, who awaits the completion of the zoning plan

Hradec Králové - The main architect of Hradec Králové from September 1 will be Šárka Dlouhá from Hradec Králové. She succeeded in the selection process, the results of which were approved by the city council on Tuesday. Dlouhá's main task will be to complete the preparation of the new urban plan for the city, which the municipality has been working on since 2010. This was stated today by Deputy Mayor Adam Záruba (Změna pro Hradec). Two candidates applied for the position of head of the main architect's department.

The long-time current chief architect Petr Brůna will end his term at the end of August by mutual agreement. However, he will continue to work with the municipality in a consulting capacity.

Dlouhá is coming to the municipality from the Hradec team of architects and construction designers Žárovka. "I perceive the preparation of the new urban plan as crucial. My task will be to help bring this significant project to a successful conclusion without unnecessary delays," said Dlouhá. She would like to support the quality of public space by organizing architectural competitions. The municipality estimates that the new urban plan could be ready within two years.

Brůna, who has been the city's chief architect since 2002, will have a contract with the city for consulting services until the end of March 2025. "It is necessary to maintain the continuity of the department. He will be invited to specific issues to help us with them," Záruba stated. According to him, Brůna's remuneration will be 700 crowns per hour with a limit of 350,000 crowns by the end of the contract.
