Benešov - Benešov plans to repair Tyršova Street next year and transform it into an urban boulevard. The work will cost around 40 million crowns, and the city will probably have to pay for it from its budget. No suitable grant title is currently available. Project documentation is currently being worked on, said Deputy Mayor Roman Tichovský (ODS) to ČTK. The repair of the street, which is the main access route from the train station to the center and a direct connection between the square and the Konopiště Castle, was expected to start earlier. However, it has turned out that the engineering networks on one side are in unsatisfactory condition and need to be repaired. The entire project will also become more expensive, with costs rising to approximately double the original plans. "The estimate is about 20 million for the networks and about 20 million for the roadway," Tichovský stated. The city will likely have to pay for the investment from its own resources, from the recovery plan chapter. The city hall wants to calm and beautify the street, giving it the character of an urban boulevard. It should become a large area for pedestrians and cyclists. Cars should not be excluded but will have to pass through at a slower speed, at most 30 kilometers per hour, and with lower intensity. The street will be one-way. The study also includes the planting of tree rows and flowers and new benches. In the area aptly named Na Blátě, two new fountains are proposed, one of which will be in the form of a model of the town.
