The dean of the Brno architecture faculty will probably be Hrubý, as he has been supported by the senate

Brno - The dean of the Faculty of Architecture in Brno will likely be Jan Hrubý. Today, he was supported by the academic senate with a vote of ten to three. Hrubý still needs to be appointed by the rector of the Brno University of Technology, Petr Štěpánek. This was announced today by the school's spokesperson, Jitka Vanýsková.
The academic senate previously nominated Rostislav Koryčánek, the former head of the Brno House of Arts, for dean. However, there was a wave of opposition against Koryčánek among some educators. He ultimately withdrew from the race for the dean position and is currently working at the Moravian Gallery.
Today's repeated election saw Hrubý, an associate professor at the faculty's institute of theory, as the sole candidate, particularly teaching the history of architecture.
Koryčánek was elected by the academic senate in May, but some professors and associate professors were bothered by the fact that he is neither an architect nor a builder, that he does not have a doctoral degree, and that he was not connected to the faculty. Students considered the actions of certain educators as backstage pressure. They wrote a petition, organized a protest march, creating a tense atmosphere at the faculty all summer long.
Rector Štěpánek repeatedly discussed the situation with Koryčánek, but conditioned his appointment on a written response to a number of questions regarding the future operations of the faculty. Koryčánek deemed this unnecessary and ultimately announced that he would no longer seek appointment.
