Pardubice - The construction of a shopping and community center on the site of the former distillery in Pardubice has received zoning approval. The developer has been working on the Galerie Pernerka project since 2019, with construction planned to begin in the autumn of next year, the developer group Redstone stated in a press release.
The area will be built on 6000 m². "We have been working intensively on the revitalization of the brownfield opposite the Pardubice train station since May 2019, when the demolition of the dilapidated distillery began. Thanks to the zoning decision, we can take our work forward again," said the founder of the group, Richard Morávek.
The center will offer up to 50,000 m² of retail space, with the largest portion occupied by shops and services. The complex will include medical offices, wellness services, a jump arena, a children's zone, restaurants, and a multiplex cinema with seven screens. The facility will feature a parking lot with a capacity of 1,100 spaces. The developer plans to build a four-star hotel under the AC Hotels by Marriott brand, which will have 150 rooms and a conference center.
The developer plans to start construction of the complex in the autumn of next year. In the next phase, they want to build several apartment buildings and restore the nearby park.
