The Faculty of Architecture at VUT has prepared a new event for the general public this year: FAstival. From Tuesday, May 31 to Thursday, June 2, architecture and urbanism enthusiasts can view an exhibition of student works from the past academic year. The so-called tunnel will once again be opened, which is a shortcut allowing visitors to pass from Křížová Street into the faculty's courtyard through the windows on the upper floor. This unconventional route will lead participants to a courtyard that students have transformed into a beach with a pool, sand, and sun loungers. As part of the accompanying program, art films will be screened in an outdoor cinema, there will be a special program for Children's Day on Wednesday, and student after-parties each evening. The three-day exhibition of studios and creative ideas from FA will conclude with a concert by the band Hello Marcel and the final farewell party for the Pop machine project, which is a screen printing studio that prints graphics, posters, and pop art portraits on-site. You can also look forward to lectures by prominent architects and discussions about the future of architecture and public space. The event is freely accessible to the general public.
