Brno - The Brno investment group DRFG has acquired a majority stake in the Brno design and construction company A PLUS, which is the creator of projects such as the new building of the Moravian Regional Archive, the Masaryk University campus, and the Central European Institute of Technology (CEITEC). Until now, it has focused on public contracts, but it now wants to take greater interest in commercial constructions, primarily in Brno. This was communicated to ČTK by the founder and majority owner of DRFG, David Rusňák. The parties did not disclose the value of the transaction.
    Rusňák sees significant opportunities for construction in Brno, particularly in Královo Pole around the shopping center along Sportovní street. The DRFG group would also like to be involved in the development of the new Southern Center or the potential transformation of the exhibition grounds.
    The DRFG group focuses on investments in energy, real estate, and financial services. This year it also became a partner of the hockey team Kometa. Its revenues last year were reported to be 200 million crowns according to information on the company's website. The revenues of A Plus fell to 75 million crowns in 2013, which was less than half of the previous years, and it consistently recorded losses from 2008 to 2013.
