In mid-February of this year, the Faculty of Arts and Architecture at the Technical University of Liberec held defenses of bachelor's and master's theses. The projects, which had been diligently worked on throughout the semester, were then reviewed by judges and several attending students during a half-hour presentation. We believe that these projects deserve much greater attention, and therefore we decided to organize a launch of a zero-year event in March in the large studio of FUA, which should present the final works of “graduates flying out of the cage of the Ještěd school” every semester in the future. The start of the semester is always laborious. It’s hard to get oneself to work. With the quality drawings and well-developed models of their predecessors in sight, a healthy competitive atmosphere arose in the studio. The main goal of the entire event is to allow the projects to live as long as possible, to keep them visible to the public, and for students to receive further inspiration for their future creations.
