Lesy ČR is building a new building in Zlín, they will probably sell their current headquarters

Zlín - The state-owned enterprise Lesy České republiky is building a new administrative building in Zlín. The current headquarters in the city on T. Bati Avenue is no longer adequate. The company will likely sell it. The investment in the wooden structure amounts to 17.44 million crowns excluding VAT. Jaroslav Zezula, head of the investment and property department of Lesy ČR, told ČTK.
    "We have been negotiating about the construction for about two years. We will probably sell the current facility. We are in talks with the city about its potential use, but nothing has been decided. I do not want to anticipate what will happen to the current facility and how we will handle it," Zezula clarified.
    The new facility is designed as a two-story wooden building. There will also be garages and outdoor parking spaces. The new administrative building of Lesy ČR is to be constructed in November next year. The institution is expected to move in probably at the beginning of 2011.
    Lesy ČR owns half of the forests in the country. Last year's logging amounted to 8.25 million cubic meters. The company also manages 20,000 kilometers of smaller watercourses. The company's equity reaches 70 billion crowns. Experts estimate the value of the wood in the forests owned by the company to be at least 750 billion. The company's gross profit is expected to decrease this year to about 220 million from last year's 707 million crowns.
