Santini's Baroque and the Search for Contemporary Urbanism of the Place

The main theme of the Summer School of Architecture Plasy 2013 will be the architecture of places where contemporary buildings coexist with national cultural monuments. The issue will be addressed using the example of the town of Plasy near Pilsen.

The professional guarantors of the program for the Summer School of Architecture Plasy 2013 are architect Jakub Fišer and journalist specializing in architecture Petr Volf.
The Summer School of Architecture Plasy 2013 is intended for students of full-time studies from universities outside Prague with a focus on architecture or related fields. Active participation throughout its duration is a requirement.
As part of the Summer School of Architecture Plasy 2013, students will work on projects based on assigned topics, participate in excursions and expert lectures related to the main theme. Over the course of two weeks, prominent Czech architects, theorists, historians of architecture and art, and other professionals in the relevant field will present. At the end of the summer school, an exhibition of the created projects will take place in Plasy.
Participation in the Summer School of Architecture Plasy 2013 is free for students (accommodation, meals, program).
The organizer of the Summer School of Architecture Plasy 2013 as part of the project Architecture Beyond Traditional Centers is Architectura o.s. in collaboration with the Faculty of Art and Architecture of the Technical University of Liberec, the architectural office Aulík Fišer architects, and the Society for Legal and Economic Education.
