Prague – The Ministry of Culture award for contributions in the field of cinematography and audiovisual arts was awarded to Vladimír Pucholt. The jury praised him for his distinctive acting style, which, according to them, created iconic characters in film that have resonated with several generations, also considering his theatrical roles. They also appreciated his moral civic stance. Along with awards for other personalities from different artistic fields, the award was presented to him yesterday by Minister of Culture Martin Baxa at the National Theatre.

The Ministry of Culture award for contributions in the field of theatre was received by actor, playwright, director, and educator Arnošt Goldflam for "in every respect a creative contribution to Czech theatre." "This creative contribution is very slippery because I have always collaborated as a director and author with actors whom I regarded as colleagues... and with the technical team, and it has proven to be a good way to involve all others in the production, in the work," Goldflam said upon receiving the award.

The award for contributions in the field of visual arts was given to Alena Kučerová "for her highly authentic and honest approach to creation and to life and the timeless qualities of her work." The eighty-eight-year-old Alena Kučerová has been using the technique of dot perforation in her graphics since the early 1960s. She creates linear compositions from variously sized perforated dots or assembles geometric grids from them. She focuses on depicting people in everyday life situations. Her graphics featuring themes of the sea, waves, and swimming have become iconic. In the 1980s, she transitioned from figuration to the theme of landscape.

The award for contributions in the field of architecture was awarded to Jan Línek for his lifelong effort to create dignified and welcoming environments for seniors, which began in the 1970s and 1980s in collaboration with Vlado Milunič and continued after 1989 within his own studio. Together with Milunič, they designed a number of socially oriented objects in the 1970s and 1980s, primarily concentrated in the newly developed areas of Prague. Their approach has few parallels in the Czech Republic.
