Saturday, July 22 and Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 10:00 AM at the courtyard of Automatické mlýny, Mezi mosty, Pardubice


During three summer weekend workshops on July 22–23, 2017, August 12–13, 2017, and September 2–3, 2017, we will be working together with everyone interested to create furniture, something for children, greenery, and to inhabit the courtyard of Automatické mlýny.

 In the first weekend, we will primarily focus on creating a shared bar, furniture, and a special swing on wheels. The Mobile Architectural Office (MAK!), a project by architects Kateřina Vídenová and Adam Wlazel, will assist us with furniture manufacturing on Saturday and provide expertise. Since 2013, they have been traveling from place to place with their residential caravan converted into an architectural office, offering their services to local communities. Although we find joy in work, both small and large DIY enthusiasts, onlookers, and passersby can also look forward to a rich cultural accompanying program. 

 The project to revitalize the mill courtyard is led by a group of two artists and one architect (Kateřina Jirsová, Anička Krtičková, Karolína Koupalová), the Offcity association, and our other mutual friends and helpers, for whom Automatické mlýny is a beloved cause. 

The program would not be possible without the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the statutory city of Pardubice, and the Czech Architecture Foundation, as well as the kind assistance of Divadlo 29, the Gallery of Pardubice, the Terra Madoda association, the Smetana couple, and all the engaged artists and friends.

2:00 PM - 6:00 PM HANKA VOŘÍŠKOVÁ: GREENLAND SONG / micro theater for one viewer (not just for children) / on a hot summer day it's better than cooling off with an ice cream cone, viewers with weak eyesight: don't forget your glasses!
5:00 PM - 7:00 PM TANGO DANCE CLASS: PATRICIA & JAVIER ANTAR / open tango lesson / let's dance even the most hidden grain of flour
7:00 PM TRUE LOVE / screening of short Czech animated films with a discussion in cooperation with Kruton Film
