Otrokovice - The Otrokovice Town Hall wants to start building a public transport terminal this year. The project, worth 50 million crowns, has already been approved by the council, and next week, the assembly will decide on it. The town hall aims to obtain funding from European funds for the major reconstruction of the area in front of the railway station. Milan Plesar, a spokesperson for the Otrokovice Town Hall, said this today to ČTK.

"This is a comprehensively addressed project, where all types of transport - rail, public transport, and intercity - will meet in front of the railway station," Plesar outlined the plan. Currently, there is a public transport stop near the railway station, but the bus station is in another part of the town.
The town hall plans, for example, to build terminals for individual types of transport, a parking area including a monitored parking lot, a park, and shops.
The financing of the modifications to the area in front of the station will be secured by a hundred million crown loan, which the councilors approved at their last meeting. "In the case of funding from European funds, we must document the financial security of the project and also anticipate approximately a six-month delay in financial resources from the EU," the spokesperson added.
