Prague - The Prague City Hall will lend land to the transport company (DPP) that is necessary for the construction of the metro line D. The loan concerns land, among others, in Nusle, Krč, Libuš and Písnice. DPP will have the land borrowed until December 31, 2030. This follows from a document that was approved by Prague councilors today.
DPP began geological research necessary for the construction of the first section from Pankrác to the Písnice Depot in June this year. The costs for building the first section of metro D are preliminarily estimated at 57 billion.
"The loan of land was the last thing needed for us to submit an application for building permission. As the investor and future owner, DPP will submit it this year on December 30," said Deputy Mayor Adam Scheinherr (Prague Sobě) in response to a CTK inquiry. According to him, a tender for the builder of the first part of the route between the future stations Pankrác and Olbrachtova is to be announced next year.
Based on the loan, the company will be able to use the land. DPP will sign a contract not only with the capital city but also with the municipal company Technical Road Administration (TSK), which manages some of it.
Some of the land has been leased to third parties in the past. Therefore, the city and DPP have agreed that the company will notify Prague always 12 months before it will need the leased land.
The geological research is taking place in Pankrác at four locations. In two locations, it should be finished in the summer of next year, and in the other two, it will continue until the summer of 2021. Prague will spend 445 million crowns on the research this year.
In the first phase, the route will be created between Pankrác, Nové Dvory and will continue to the Písnice Depot, with driverless trains operating on it. In the future, a section from Pankrác to náměstí Míru is to be created. The investor of the construction will be DPP.
