Prague - Five years ago, on December 5, 2015, a 55-meter-high observation Trail in the Clouds was opened in Dolní Morava in the Orlickoústecko region. The attraction, costing approximately 100 million crowns, is located on a rocky ridge of the Slamník mountain massif at an altitude of 1116 meters above sea level, and in good weather, visitors can enjoy views of the entire Králický Sněžník massif with the Morava River valley as well as the main ridge of the Jeseníky, Suchý vrch, and the Krkonoše mountains.

The Trail in the Clouds was built near the Slaměnka lodge, not far from the upper station of the Sněžník cable car. People can reach it by cable car or on foot. The structure, made from larch wood sourced from the Austrian Alps, and steel elements, significantly rises above the surrounding spruce forest, featuring a network of intertwining paths with a total length of 750 meters. The path is barrier-free, allowing easy access for people in wheelchairs and with strollers. Brave visitors can slide down a 101-meter-long tube slide with windows.

The design of the building project was created by architect and university lecturer Zdeněk Franěk, who said of his work: "The uniqueness of the building lies in the extent of the use of wood in a construction of this size. It also creates a new kind of experience, where a person becomes more aware of their true smallness in the bosom of nature."
