Radotín will build a multipurpose sports hall

Prague - Prague's Radotín will build a multi-purpose sports hall. The hall is expected to be built in the area between the railway track, the softball field, and U Starého Stadionu street. This information was provided today by the spokesperson for Prague 16, Jana Černá. The construction, estimated to cost about 76 million crowns, is likely to be completed next year.
Groundworks have already begun at the site, and Prague 16 will start the actual construction in March. The town hall anticipates that the hall will be used for both sports and cultural purposes. It will primarily serve players of handball, futsal, floorball, basketball, volleyball, footbag, tennis, and badminton. "It is expected that the facility will also be utilized by the local primary school or gymnasium," said Radotín's mayor Karel Hanzlík to ČTK. He added that there will also be spaces for lectures, exhibitions, and other cultural events in the hall.
The building will consist of a ground-level steel hall and two two-story brick annexes, where visitors will find restrooms, changing rooms with sanitary facilities, a clubhouse, an office, accommodation rooms with a capacity of 21 beds, a sauna, refreshments, a reception, and technical facilities.
In addition to the multi-purpose hall project, Prague 16 plans to invest this year in insulating the gym of the primary school on Loučanská street and in the revitalization of the former sewage treatment plant site on K Lázním street. The treatment plant is to be replaced by a park.
