Kutná Hora - The extensive reconstruction of the Vlašský dvůr in Kutná Hora will cost 120 million crowns. Of this amount, approximately 90 million should be covered by grants. The city's mandatory co-financing will be ten million crowns, and the remaining 20 million will come from the municipal budget for non-eligible costs associated with the restoration of part of the park and the administrative part of the building. The grant has already been approved, but its acceptance still needs to be confirmed by the councilors. Next Thursday, the city leadership wants to present the entire project to them, Mayor Martin Starý (Kutnohorská změna) told ČTK today.

It will primarily be presented how much the co-financing will cost and what the city would expect in the event of the grant not being accepted. "We will also discuss subsequent mandatory expenditures after completion," Starý stated. The councilors are scheduled to vote on the grant on January 31. Until then, the city hall cannot announce a tender for the contractor. Work is expected to take place this year and next year.

According to Starý, non-eligible costs relate to areas in the park that are not part of the national cultural monument, which are the gardens under the archdeaconry and the area under Hrádek. It also involves work in the administrative part of the Vlašský dvůr, which is an integral part of the project.

In the former medieval mint, which is among other things the seat of the municipal office, new water, electricity, and sewage systems need to be installed. New exhibitions are also planned in the building. The Felix Jenewein Gallery will move from the Vlašský dvůr to the Sankturin House, which is also awaiting renovation.

In the park below the Vlašský dvůr, paths, wading pools, toilets need to be repaired, and lighting and security cameras installed. A pond, a ramp for the disabled, or an inline track for children are also planned. The project does not address a new design for the summer stage; only new stucco work would be done and what remains would be repaired. The city hall is considering purchasing a mobile stage, or bands performing in the park could bring their own. "In any case, we will strive to hold events there several times a year," added Starý.

The Vlašský dvůr is a complex of buildings from the 13th and 14th centuries, its history is related to a rich silver deposit. It presumably got its name after the Wallachian masters whom the king summoned from Florence.
