Ústí nad Labem – Ústí nad Labem has announced a new selection process for a city architect. In contrast to the conditions of the selection process, a group of three architects applied for the first competition, intending to perform the function together. Therefore, the council decided to adjust the conditions. The mayor, Petr Nedvědický, said this to reporters today.

"We announced a selection process for a single architect, and three applied," Nedvědický stated. According to him, the applicants were of high quality and the city could establish cooperation with them. One of the adjustments to the selection process was changing the working hours from fixed to flexible. If the city were unable to find an architect, it would be possible, according to Nedvědický, to invoice the work of the trio.

In January of this year, the council decided to establish the office of the city architect under the mayor's office. In the previous electoral period, the opposition PRO! Ústí advocated for the establishment of a contributory organization for the city architect's office. Because ANO and ODS voted against it, the PRO! Ústí movement then terminated the coalition agreement.
