Brno - A new shopping center H-Park is gradually opening this month on Heršpická Street in Brno. The developer Raiffeisen Leasing invested approximately 200 million Czech koruna into it, and the shops are intended to complement the assortment of two nearby hobby markets. This was stated in a press release by the spokeswoman of Cushman&Wakefield (C&W) Jitka Kvartková, who is responsible for leasing the space.
In the first phase, 4,400 square meters of space are being leased in the shopping center, and the investor plans to start construction of the second phase this year, which will create an additional 2,800 square meters of space.
Shops selling cleaning machines, tires, and electronics are gradually opening there. "A store selling doors and frames, flooring, and pet supplies will gradually be added. Currently, 90 percent of the space is pre-leased," stated Martin Kubín from C&W.
"We are preparing the second phase to offer home furnishings and supplies," said the developer's representative Hynek Stupák. H-Park is also intended to be an alternative to shopping centers on the outskirts of Brno, as it is located near the city center.
The attractiveness of the area around Heršpická Street has been increasing significantly in recent years. Office buildings housing several companies have gradually risen there, and the highest building in the Czech Republic, AZ Tower, has also been opened.
The majority of industrial and office spaces in Brno are offered to companies by the developer CTP Invest. Experts anticipate that the arrival of a new investor will bring revitalization to the market. "The Brno market has a unique position within the Czech Republic. The demand for commercial real estate rental here has been consistently high," stated Jiří Kristek from C&W.
