Prague - In Prague, sports facilities will be reconstructed and built in the next two years for 363 million crowns. Most of the amount will be paid from a subsidy from the Ministry of Education, while the capital city will contribute approximately 108 million crowns to the projects. Among the beneficiaries of the subsidy are the clubs of Sparta, Slavia, and various sports associations. This follows from a document approved today by the representatives of the capital city.


For example, the Sparta Prague club will reconstruct a sports hall for floorball in Barrandov for 45 million, where it will also complete social facilities and changing rooms. The capital city will contribute 15 million crowns to the reconstruction, while the remaining amount will be obtained by the club through a subsidy from the Ministry of Education. Prague will also contribute four million to the reconstruction of a multipurpose hall, the total cost of which will be 13 million. The Sparta rugby club is preparing to build a sports facility with artificial turf for eight million, of which 2.5 million will be contributed by Prague.

The Slavia Prague club will reconstruct the basketball hall for 41 million crowns, and the reconstruction of the rugby sports complex aimed at improving conditions for children's and youth sports will cost 18 million crowns. The Slavia pool is also set to be modernized for six million crowns, and the infrastructure for the field hockey club will be improved for 11 million crowns. Prague will contribute a total of 20.5 million crowns to these four projects.

The Zbraslav Sokol will convert a former cinema into a multipurpose hall for dance sports for 29 million crowns, and the football club in Zbraslav will undergo reconstruction of sports areas for 25 million.
