In forty cities, Architecture Day is taking place

Prague - In more than 40 cities, the Architecture Day festival will take place today and on Sunday, as the organizers join the celebrations of World Architecture Day, which is celebrated on the first Monday of October. The organizers have prepared a total of 75 events, mainly walks through architecturally interesting places, often normally inaccessible. The program can be found on the website www.denarchitektury.cz.
    This year, the ranks of architects in the role of guides will be expanded by David Vávra, Vladimir 518, and Jaromír Švejdík. Highlights of the program include a walk through the Prague technical underground with Jan Šépka and a walk in the heart of contemporary architecture, Litomyšl, with former city architect Zdenka Vydrová.
    The event Liberec - Prag Open 2013 will offer the opportunity to peek into the interiors of studios and apartments of architects and local artists. A walk through the Pardubice Finland will present the local colony of Finnish houses from the 1950s, and those interested will learn how architecture looks through the eyes of children in Černošice. The Day of Architects is organized by the civic association Kruh, which aims to facilitate dialogue about quality Czech and world architecture and architectural creation with the general public.
