Vrané nad Vltavou – Villa of entrepreneur and financier Petr Kellner in Vrané nad Vltavou near Prague is for sale. The three-story building, designed by architect Josef Pleskot, is listed by a real estate agency for 49.9 million Czech crowns.
According to the land registry entry, the owner of the house is Kellner's widow, entrepreneur Renáta Kellnerová. The total usable area of the property is 477 m², and the plot covers an area of 1644 m². The main longitudinal part of the house is made of monolithic concrete, while the transverse wing of the house is made of wood with glued elements. The building includes terraces, and there is a swimming pool in the basement.
The villa attracted attention from experts and received an honorable mention from the jury of the Grand Prix of the Architects' Association in the New Construction category in 1995. The new owner should expect further investments, as the condition of the building is described in the listing as "before reconstruction."
The majority owner of the PPF investment group, Kellner had a reputation as the richest Czech and also as a man who guarded his privacy. According to Pleskot, he lived in the villa in Vrané for only a short time. "Then he found out that when he returned home on weekends, there were vacationers around mowing lawns, and lawnmowers could be heard from all sides. He couldn't rest in that," the architect told Lidové noviny earlier.
