Vysoké Mýto (Orlickoústecko) - Vysoké Mýto has created a study for the area Za Pivovarem. The vacant land near the city center is intended for the construction of new housing. However, the city does not want houses to be built chaotically, without a system. The author of the study is architect Milan Košař. This was reported by the mayor of the city, Miloslav Soušek (ČSSD). Vysoké Mýto has about 12,000 inhabitants and, similarly to other towns in the region, it is losing residents. New houses could attract young families, for example.
"In the first phase, houses should be built by a construction company that expresses interest. In the second phase, plots of land should be sold where people can build their homes. Architecturally, they should fit into modern architecture," said Soušek.
The entire area, which is currently empty, is to become a place for pleasant living with greenery, taking advantage of living near the city center. The area is to maintain its connection to the surrounding buildings and transport infrastructure. On an area of 5.2 hectares, 53 houses could be constructed. In the center, there should be greenery, a recreational playground, and a small amphitheater.
"The design includes concentrated construction of single-story and two-story terraced houses and individual two-story family houses with flat roofs and compact plot sizes in the southern part of the area, where a uniform form is anticipated," said architect Košař. In the northern part of the area, larger plots are proposed for the individual construction of standalone houses.
Most of the land belongs to the city, but some have private owners, with whom city representatives are trying to reach an agreement and exchange the plots.
