Prague - The dilapidated Panský statku estate in Prague's Troja will be transformed into a residential complex. This was announced today at a press conference by representatives of the development company Coast Capital Partners (CCP), which is responsible for the renovation of historic buildings and the construction of new apartment blocks. Co-founder of CCP, Doron Friedman, did not specify the project budget when asked by ČTK. He only stated that it would be the largest of the projects the company has implemented so far in the capital.

The Troja project was designed by the architectural studio Loxia. Construction will be carried out by the company Metrostav, which won the tender. Friedman told ČTK that construction will begin by the end of this year. The first residents are expected to move into the complex, featuring 66 apartment units, by the end of 2018. The project will offer a total of 13 buildings. Six of them will be converted original historic structures that are protected as cultural monuments.

"Personally, I am pleased that the new owners have launched an ambitious project that will bring a sensitive restoration of historic buildings and will provide public access to the courtyard and the old post office building in an otherwise closed residential area,"
said the mayor of the Prague-Troja municipal district, Tomáš Bryknar (Trojský kůň 2014). The developer has previously promised that the newly constructed buildings will not exceed the height of the historic buildings in the area.

The Panský statek and farmyard in Troja were built by Count Václav Vojtěch von Sternberg at the end of the 17th century, alongside the northern wing of the Troja Castle garden palace. Since the 1980s, the estate has been falling into disrepair.

CCP has been operating in the Czech Republic since 2004. It primarily focuses on the reconstruction of buildings with historical heritage and the construction of modern apartment units in Prague. Among others, it completed a project in Kajetánka in Prague's Břevnov.
