For several months, work has been ongoing on the development of an urbanistic-architectural study of the Motol Valley, which will propose a conceptual, comprehensive solution for the urban space and public areas of the given location. The study is being carried out in two phases: the design of the first phase is currently being completed, and the participatory part of the second phase is beginning. Therefore, four meetings for the public are scheduled for October, during which attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the Motol Valley and share their opinions. As part of the analytical phase of the ongoing urbanistic-architectural study of the Motol Valley, specifically its second part, a historical and urban walk through the Motol Valley is prepared for October 12th, 15th, 17th, and 19th, along with two subsequent public planning meetings. The study currently covers the area from Buďánky to Bucharova/Kukulova. This follows the first phase, during which the Plzeňská – Vrchlického location was addressed a few months ago, from the city ring road to the Buďánka settlement. The urbanistic-architectural study is being developed by the A69 studio based on the mandate from the Municipal District of Prague 5. “The development of the Motol Valley study places great emphasis on public participation. Therefore, the developers of the study are seeking the opinions of locals, their perceptions of the area, and their ideas for the future shape of the valley,” says the mayor of the Municipal District of Prague 5, Radek Klíma (TOP 09). The studio is currently finishing the design of the first part of the study, which should be presented to the public for feedback before the final version is completed over the next six months, and is commencing the participatory part of the second phase. The opinions of residents will serve as a starting point for an independent Conceptual Study of Public Spaces, which will also become the basis for the regulatory plan. The development will address, among other things, the location between the roads Plzeňská and Vrchlického (gaps in Hlaváčova Street) and the forecourt of Buďánky (intersection of Plzeňská – Nad Zámečnicí). The study will present a conceptual, comprehensive solution for the urban space and public areas of the given location. Information regarding participation can be found on the website.
