Ondřej Synek: Contemplating the City
Lecture within Architecture in Space
On Saturday, March 5, 2016, at 5 PM, a lecture by Ondřej Synek will take place at the Živá vila (the J. N. Krale villa on Nádražní Street in Prachatice) as part of the series Architecture in Space.
Ondřej Synek is one of the founders of the re:architekti studio, which has received several awards in architectural competitions in recent years and presents itself as a studio with the desire and ability to engage with citizens, initiate participation, and present work in an understandable manner for the layperson. Together with his colleagues, he focuses on small architecture projects for zoning plans.
Along with Michal Kuzemenský, he leads a school studio at the Faculty of Architecture of ČVUT.
He will discuss ways to think about the city as an interconnected whole. He will also present an architectural workshop held in the nearby town of Vodňany in 2010, the results of which were one of the foundations for creating the local strategic plan.
