The case of the futile efforts of the monuments protectors to save the complex of Transgas in Prague highlights the most serious problem of our heritage care in recent years. One important building from the post-war period after another is subjected to demolition, and thus there is a risk that we will completely erase a very important phase from the history of modern Czech architecture. The lecture will strive to uncover the main reasons why the protection of post-war architecture continues to fail. Domestic issues will be placed in a broader international context. Entry is free until capacity is filled. The lecture is held as part of the Science and Technology Week of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
