VVP AVU cordially invites you to a lecture from the spring series "Wednesdays at AVU" on Wednesday, March 19 at 18:00, auditorium of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (3rd floor), U Akademie 4, Prague 7
JAN TABOR HOW NOT TO EXHIBIT ARCHITECTURE
Eero Saarinen suggests: painting a picture is art, hanging it is architecture. Three antitheses: making architecture is architecture, exhibiting it is art. Contemporary architects lack artistic ambitions and aesthetic abilities. (Contemporary) exhibitions of (contemporary) architecture are the art of amateurs. Architect and theorist Jan Tabor, living in Vienna, will deliver his lecture from the audience. Eating and drinking allowed!
Organized by the Scientific Research Center of AVU, technical support by Digilab AVU. The screening can also be followed online or recorded on the ČT 24 portal or on the pages of iVysílání of Czech Television. Previous lectures can be viewed HERE. The program for the entire cycle for the summer semester 2013/2014 can be found at VVP AVU.
