Fellner and Helmer in the Czech Lands

Dana Linhartová will present her book The Architectural Activity of the Fellner and Helmer Studio in the Czech Lands.
Mgr. Dana Linhartová, Ph.D. (*1976 in Jablonec nad Nisou) studied Art History at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague, where she also wrote her master's thesis under the supervision of Prof. Horyna titled Theatrical Architecture of the Fellner & Helmer Studio in Bohemia and Moravia (2001). Her interest, particularly in historicist architecture and the art of the second half of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, was also supported by Prof. Vlček at the Faculty of Architecture of Czech Technical University, where she developed a doctoral thesis focusing comprehensively on all the buildings realized by the Fellner & Helmer studio in the Czech Republic. Between 2000-18, she worked as a heritage guarantor at the Central Bohemian Heritage Institute in Prague, further served as a high school teacher of art history, and since December 2021, she has held the position of heritage care officer at the magistrate in Jablonec nad Nisou.
