39th Pre-Lecture Series Art yesterday and today on the topic Workshops of UMPRUM. The history, present, and life within them is initiated by a lecture dedicated to graphic workshops featuring Jan Hybner, Jarmila Sequensová, Vladimíra Šturmová, Jaromír Štoural, and René Řebec. Without workshops, the Arts and Crafts University would not be complete. They are something of a hidden treasure of the school. Places that are sought after by students and educators alike. A space for creation and a center of life. Graphic workshops provide a background not only for selected studios focused on this craft but are available for the entire school. Here is where bookbinding, letterpress, gravure workshop, offset printing, screen printing, or lithography workshop is concealed. In the lecture divided into two imaginary parts, Jan Hybner and Jarmila Sequensová will focus on the history of the bookbinding workshop. This will be followed by a second part that will describe its present and other workshops closely related to it. This part is prepared by Vladimíra Šturmová, Jaromír Štoural, and René Řebec.
