Complex B15 is a showcase of simplicity and efficiency. Four south-facing buildings form a coherent residential complex designed by the famous architect Dr. Othmar Treffer, characterized by a clear structure and tense style. High glass panels lining the southern facade of the building allow natural light and warmth to penetrate into the individual apartments. In conjunction with the appropriate wall thickness and insulation, complex B15 has approached the threshold of 50 kWh/m² required to achieve the heat necessary for its heating. As a result, it is officially certified as an energy-efficient house.

From a maintenance-free perspective, PREFA could offer the best arguments for the reconstruction of the building's exterior shell. "A material like aluminum has many properties that are ideal for maintenance-free use. It does not rust or crack, is completely resistant to stormy weather, and guarantees lasting quality for many decades. In addition, it is fully recyclable", explains Reinhold Augschöll from PREFA Aluminiumprodukte. Another advantage is the low weight of aluminum, which allows for savings in the sizing of roof structures and easier processing directly on-site. The entire implementation was carried out in a short time by the roofing company Prenn from Mühlwald, Austria. For architect Dr. Othmar Treffers, a wide selection of colors in PREFA products was also important to achieve a uniform appearance of the building.

Aluminum - best quality
In Brixen, a total of 480 m² of surface was covered with PREFA façade shingles. The material used for the production of these shingles consists of 90% secondary aluminum. This demonstrates that aluminum is recyclable and that it does not lose the quality necessary to guarantee the properties of PREFA products even during reprocessing.

The option of installation with three-quarter overlaps, combined with many standard colors, offers beautiful and harmonious facades, both on large and small areas.
